Roxana ~ at 9 months

I can't believe our favorite little girl has officially been out longer than she was in!  9 whole months... that's big time.  She's a joy and we love her... even in spite of her not sleeping (again!)
- Roxi has reverted back to waking up about 3 times a night, so her sleeping through the night was really short lived.  Not really sure what the deal is... teething?  Growth spurt?  Just a princess? Whatever it is, it's not really awesome.  She eats about twice as much at night as she does during the day, but she won't eat during the day, so we don't know how to change the habit.  I'm sure she'll outgrow it... we are just hoping it's before she goes to college.
- She weighs 19 lb and is 27 inches tall.  Her nine month appt was good.  She is in the 65% for weight and 25% for height.  :)
- She is a crawling machine!  She has also learned how to pull herself up to standing.  This trick was first learned by trying to pull herself up the stairs, but she's now able to pull up to couches and such.
- Luckily, the stairs are still safe, but I'm sure she'll be able to scale them within the month.  She did learn the effects of gravity a few days ago, when she tried to go down the stairs head first.  Luckily, she got stuck after only 1 stair, so no major damage was done.  (There are only 4 stairs total, so I think she would have survived anyway)
- We had a terrible scare the other day, when I gave her some of a peanut butter sandwich.  She ate it like a champ and loved it, but within about a half an hour, she broke out in massive hives!  Luckily, benadryl did the trick (and we learned that benadryl doesn't knock her out like it does most kids), but no more peanuts for Roxi.  Sad day.
-  She likes to jabber on and can say "dada" and "mama."  I'm pretty excited about that second one, since Noah couldn't say Mama until he was nearly 2 years old.
- On her 9 month mark, she was sick and had a rough night.  Poor girl.  Not sure if it was teething or a cold, but it wasn't very fun for anyone.  She was nice and cuddly though.  :)
- And each day, she is able to survive Noah trying to smoosh her, or pinch her face or any myriad of other such older brother nonsense.  So, you know, that's good!

So glad that you have Roxi Lou's crazy hair documented! What a sweet baby girl, even if she doesn't sleep!
