A trip north to meet a new cousin

Our Christmas extravaganza will have to be documented in a series of posts... even just Christmas morning merits more pictures than anyone will actually want to look at (except me).

We are gluttons for punishment, and made the 12 hour trek north to see my family.  Having a toddler and a newborn, we weren't sure how this would go (oh yeah, and snow and a car without 4 wheel drive), but alas it was great!  We split the trip into two days, just in case the snow was bad, but of course we hardly saw any.  And the passes were clear.  So all was good.
It was still fun to split it up though.  We stayed in a motel, went swimming, ordered pizza and watched HGtv, so you know I was in heaven.  :)

The main reason for making such a trek was that my sister had a baby a month before I did, and I wanted to see her baby, while he is still in fact a baby.  My brothers both came to my parents house the day after Christmas too, so we were able to have the whole family together.  Seeing family made the long pilgrimage worth it.

Jandie's baby, Bearinger is adorable!  It was crazy to see him and Roxi together, because he seemed so much older.  She was still very much in "newborn" stage, while Bear was so strong and able to look around and hold himself up.  It's amazing what a month will do.  (and drugs, right Jandie?!  Haha!)

Bear's slippers!)
Grandma is in heaven!

This one cracks me up!  Bear wasn't too happy and Roxi just didn't know what how to respond.
Love these babies!

Grandma heaven, indeed. She probably should have combed her hair though!
