Kennecott Copper Mine

There is a really cool copper mine near to our house, and for years I have wanted to go see the visitors center. Well, as luck would have it, the visitors center collapsed in a rock slide just a few months before we moved out here. Total bummer. But we figured out that you can drive up to the top of the mountain and look down into the pit, which was still pretty cool. So, we drove up there one Sunday afternoon. We had a great time! It was a beautiful (and a little frightening) drive and the view from the top was just amazing! So so cool! Now, if only they'd repair the visitors center!
