At Two Years Old

Two.  Our baby boy is really two.  Here are all the things we love about him and more...
(including a little 2 year old photo shoot)

- Noah weighs 26 1/2 lbs (30%) and is 31 inches tall (50%).  I can't believe he's actually thinning out!
- He wears 24 months and 2T clothes, size 7 shoes and size 4 diapers.
- He talks more and more each day.  He still can't pronounce the N sound, so when I tell him to say "Noah" or ask him his name, he just says "Yeah!"  But he is starting to speak a little more in 2-3 word phrases, which is great.  It sure is easier to communicate with him the more he talks to us.
- He loves anything with wheels, especially big trucks and trains.
- We try to frequent library story time, which is always a big hit.  He loves to sing songs and play with the bubbles, parachute and balls that they have each week.
- He loves nursery!  And our nursery has a great singing leader, who comes around each week to teach new songs to the kids.  It is so cool to have Noah come home humming "I am a Child of God," or some other new song that he has learned at nursery.
- I think his favorite song is "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," as that is what he hums most frequently.  (It could also be ABCs, since that has the same basic melody)
- He is a great eater and sleeper.  He really likes his daily routine, which is awesome for us as parents, because it makes him an easy kid.
- His best friend is Jack S.  Other friends include Holland S. (perhaps a little crush happening there), Matthew W., and Sophia N. (whom he plays with in nursery).

- Noah loves to read books, do puzzles, and watch TV.  Currently, his favorite shows are "Trucks," (Chuck and Friends), Toy Story, Beauty and the Beast and Super Why.  Although that is subject to change by next week.
- He knows his first joke.  It goes:  "Momma, where Daddy go?"  - I don't know Noah.  Where's Daddy?  - "a work."  And then he giggles.  And that is all I hear all day.  Every. day.
- He also frequently asks "where Jack?" followed by, "where Momma Jack?"  He calls every woman, Momma.
- He can throw a mean tantrum when he wants.  It's pretty funny, really.  Especially lately, because he even falls on the floor as part of the routine.  But he has this ridiculous piercing scream that is not quite as funny.  We can usually calm him down by ignoring him or taking big deep breaths with him while he is giving himself a big hug.  (a little trick we learned from watching "Daniel Tiger" with him... see, sometimes television is good for kids.  ha!)
- When he doesn't want to do what we've asked him, he'll scrunch up his mouth and eyes, looking from side to side, as if to say "what are you going to do if I choose not to obey right now."
- Recently he has learned to put his finger up to his mouth, tap it and say "hmmm..." when he is trying to make a decision.  Hilarious!
- Noah really is such a sweet, funny, lovable kid.  He is such a blessing in our lives.  Words cannot express how much we love him and are glad he is part of our family.
