David

Steven's older brother David passed away on April 19th. We took a trip to Vegas for the funeral, where Steven was privileged to give the eulogy. It was a rough trip, emotionally.  Even to write about it now, brings back almost too many emotions. My kids have taken any eloquence I once had, but suffice it to say that Dave was a favorite of mine. He is missed greatly by all of us.  I'm sad that Roxi and Noah won't remember him.
Here are a few pictures from our trip ~ nothing important. We probably should have taken some family pics.  Oops.
There was a lot of sleeping in random spots on the trip. Buzz didn't seem to mind, as he hogged the bed.  :)  We were blessed to stay in a really nice casita of some people in Dave and Jen's ward, while we were in Vegas, which was great. Such a blessing to be close and not have to worry about hotels.  Nap time for the kids was tricky though ~ we spent some time in the car with the windows down while they slept on more than one occasion, after driving around to get them to sleep.  It worked out though.

The ward put on a really nice luncheon after the funeral service, which was so thoughtful of them, and very much appreciated.  Apparently these are the only pictures we got... guess it's better than none at all.

As we walked to Jen's house one day, we snapped this picture. I think it is one of my all time favorites. Love these people.
