That there is an RV: Day 2

So, the only hard thing about day 1 was not having a plug for the DVD player for the kids. We had a fuse out, and had the hardest time trying to figure out which fuse and how to replace it. We stopped at a WalMart, called the RV rental place, called a dealership for the car, consulted the manuel ~ nothing worked!  So, on Day 2, we made it a priority to figure out how to fix that. (10 days of driving with 2 tiny kids and no movies would not have made for a great American road trip!)

That morning at McDonalds, as we were talking about finding the fuse, a great man named Dale overheard us. He said he used to work on big trucks and could help. He was so awesome! He knew right where the fuse should go, and what kind to get. He even drove with Steven over to the auto parts store to get the part and then helped him put it in. When we said thanks and went to leave, he said, "Just remember that a Mormon helped you out." Oh Dale, we'll definitely remember the Mormons. :)

The rest of that day was spent driving to Redding, CA to Steven's brother Mikes' house. We spent the night there and hung out with his family. It was nice to see where they live and spend some time with them. It was a pretty long day of driving through pretty boring country for most of day 2 though.
