Roxi at 5 months

She's adorable and practically perfect... except the very large problem of sleeping.  :)

- Roxi is wearing 3-6 month clothes, although some things are a bit big still. (Others are small... why can't they make baby clothes more uniform??)  I failed to ever weigh or measure her at 5 months though.  Ugh. 

- She loves to giggle, especially when someone is playing peek-a-boo or singing to her.  

- Her whole face lights up when she smiles. I love it!

- She can roll from tummy to back.  Hooray!  (first time was 15 April)  But she will still play with toys on her tummy for a few minutes.  She doesn't automatically roll over.

- She is a massive drooler!  She loves to have her fingers in her mouth.  And by fingers, I mean fists... both fists!  This produces an abnormal amount of drool.  We've resorted to having her wear bibs constantly.

- Sleeping is still a bit of a problem, although we were able to figure out a couple of her ailments.  She has really bad eczema, which lead her to wake herself up from scratching her head all night.  So, we got her some medicine for that and it has helped some.  She is also an incredibly sweaty little baby.  She gets super hot when she sleeps (takes after me.  I'm a human furnace), so she was waking up from being too sweaty.  Now, we've switched blankets and that has seems to help slightly as well.  However, she is still waking up every 1.5 to 3 hours.  Three on a really good night - 1.5 on a not so good night.

- Her nap schedule is much the same as night time.  She takes about a 40 minute nap in the morning, and then can sleep for up to 2 hours in the afternoon, but she'll usually wake up once in there and need to be cuddled for a minute to fall back asleep.  

- She seems to love Mama best (except when I'm wearing a hat.  She is NOT a fan of that).  She also really loves her big brother and lights up when he comes over to play with her.  

We continue to be amazed at the growth and development of babies.  It is just as fun the second time.  Now, if we could just figure out how to get her to sleep, life would really be fun!
