In the middle of April, we took a trip down to see Steven's family for the weekend. The weather was beautiful and our little Noah was a trooper in the car. However, we realized that Noah is aware that he sleeps in his own room and doesn't like to sleep anywhere else. I'm not sure anyone else even minded that he was a cranky kid the entire weekend, but it about gave me an aneurysm. I was not a fan of my sleepy little guy. Hopefully by the next time we travel, he will learn to just sleep anywhere.
At any rate, the weekend was a ton of fun. Karyn brought over a little pool and the kids played in there for a long time. Dave brought his kids up for the weekend too. And we were able to eat great barbecue and celebrate Ella's birthday. We even watched an entire movie in one setting, after Noah finally went to bed one night! It's always nice to be in a cell phone dead zone and relax for a few days.

And somehow, we failed to get any pictures with Noah and Grandma and Grandpa. Terrible. Some parents we turned out to be. But, I guess it just means we'll get to take another trip soon! :)

Ohh, bad news. The sleeping away from home gets worse for awhile. The better they get with their schedule at home (which is great for 99% of your days), the harder it is when they're away from home. I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too. Super cute pics!
