Hooray for America

Noah's first fourth of July was a big success.  He did pretty much everything that shouts "We love America." We started the morning off with a quick history lesson about declaring our independence from Great Britain and our winning of the Revolutionary War, followed by a trip to the local water park, where Noah decided that he wanted to take a nice nap in the shade before floating around the lazy river.  (He was probably worn out after his history lesson!)

After the water park and a nice afternoon nap, we BBQ'd with the neighbors, and Noah made a mess of himself with watermelon and tater tots.  He took a quick bath, and at what should have been his bedtime, we headed over to the neighborhood fourth of July extravaganza to watch some fireworks.  But, since bedtime is at 7pm, we missed most of the good fireworks that started after we left.  I'm pretty proud of my little trooper though, who stayed awake until 9pm, which meant we got to see some fireworks.  :)

And because of some awesome cousins, Noah was all decked out for the holiday.  Happy Independence Day America!

1st 4th of July was definitely a success. The outfit alone screams that he's "proud to be an American!" Can't wait to squeeze this boy in 3 more weeks!
