New girl in town
There is a new baby playing at our house everyday. Charley is about two months old, and her mom had to go back to work (so sad!), so she comes over to our house and plays with us for eight hours every day. It has been a fun adjustment, and Noah does really well with Charley. The first day, he really wanted to be around her the whole time and even would lay down on the blanket next to her and cuddle.
Since then, as he has started to realize that she is here to stay, he gets a little more fussy at times. He is especially not fond of her having a pacie and him not, or when she gets a bottle and he doesn't. But overall, he still really likes her. He really likes to hit her in the face, push on her tummy, and pull her hair. A typical older brother.
As for me? Well, I love that 2 month old babies sleep for so long everyday! I forgot about that. And, they sleep anywhere, which is even better. I'm glad that I get a full night sleep every night, and that my body isn't in recovery mode, which makes this a pretty good gig. Plus, it's really funny to leave the house and see the looks that people give me as they look at me with two little babies. Oh yeah, and I'm super glad to have a husband who works from home, for those emergency situations that we occasionally find ourselves in.
But overall, I'm glad that we can help out a good friend and have such a sweet baby in our home.

At 11 Months
What happened to my little baby?! I can't believe this chunky monkey is 11 months old...
- He weighs nearly 23 pounds and is 29 inches tall. Yup, he's still a chunk. He wears size 12 month clothes, size 3 diapers (until this box is gone), and between size 3-4 shoes. Wow!
- He has teeth!! Yes, that's right - 2 of them! We could hardly believe it when they came in.
- He walks along furniture and with his walker, but not yet on his own.
- He takes one nap a day and sleeps for about 13 hours at night. Yup, we like him.
- He loves keyboards, phones, TV, and anything else with buttons.
- His favorite word is still Dada... he has no love for Momma.
- But perhaps his new snorting is his way of showing love to Momma... he wrinkles up his face and snorts all day long!
- He's a big fan of Kraft Mac n' Cheese (yup, we're feeding him really well), "cheese crisps," (quesadilla), tomatoes, avacado and peas! (Mom is really proud of him for liking peas). So far the only food he really doesn't seem to like is green beans. Weirdo.
He really is the happiest kid ever. I'm not just saying that because I'm his mom. He entertains himself well, giggling and talking all day. He very rarely gets fussy - only when dinner is not ready on time. :)
As always, sorry for picture overload... I can't pick a favorite!

But if I did pick a favorite, this might be it! :)
Look, you can almost see those teeth I told you about!
Snort, snort...
And, as a bonus - Noah was so tired after taking pictures that he fell asleep eating his lunch! Does it make me a bad mom that I've been waiting for him to do this, just so I could get a picture?! I think it is so cute when babies fall asleep in their highchair. Haha!

Go Utes?? I can't hardly type that...
It is a well known fact that Noah bleeds blue. Wait... that's not true. But nevertheless, when we dropped him off at our cousin's house on the day of the BYU - Utah football game, we certainly didn't expect to come home to this:
Go Utes! Really? Now that just goes against all my principles... not that I've ever been super partial to my alma mater, but I found it very difficult to root for the Utes. Luckily, Steven said I didn't have to. Phew! And I suppose that it's okay for Noah to like the Utes, since Steven did go there for grad school. And now that Utah is part of the Pac-12, that's one more rivalry that we can have with Uncle Broc. So you know I like that! :)
Plus, who can resist those big blue eyes?!

A trip south
At the end of September, we took a trip south to visit family, friends, and mostly so Mom could go see "Wicked." Of course, we failed to get many pictures of the trip, but here are a few from swimming at the state park. (Mostly I'm just excited that I have a few pictures of me with Noah where I actually am dressed and have make up on! Haha!)
Another successful trip.

Swinging and Second Breakfast
Holy cow, talk about being behind... can't believe I didn't blog these pics! Here is some of the fun Noah had with Dad, clear back at the beginning of September...
This bag is usually used for our beach towels and such, but on this day, Dad had the brilliant idea to use it to swing Noah around. So much fun! (Until Mom said no, because I didn't want a broken bag... or a broken baby!)

It's clear by looking at him that Noah likes to eat... and eat. He'll drink a bottle in the morning, then eat breakfast... and then when Dad comes up from work, he likes to eat second breakfast! Here are my two favorite guys chillin' on the kitchen floor, enjoying their breakfast. This brings a smile to my face.

Fun? with Mom
Steven was out of town last week, so Noah and I went on a little adventure to Ikea, where they had these really cool hats. I'm pretty sure Noah just wanted Dad to come home...
