At Four Months

Time keeps moving and I am more amazed every day at the miracle of life.  I still don't comprehend having a baby grow inside me, but watching him grow and develop into his own little self on the outside is simply the most amazing thing I've ever watched.  At four months, here is a look at our sweet little man.

- He weighs in at a whopping 11 lb. 7 oz, which means he's not even on the growth percentage chart (maybe about 3%).  He's so little!
- He is 24 3/4 inches long.  (50%)
- He still wears size 0-3 months.  No surprise given his weight.  :)

- He loves to stand up or sit up, and of course he needs help for both.

- He is SO close to rolling over!  It is funny to watch him because he gets so frustrated that his little body won't flip all the way over without help.

- He can grab his toys if they are right next to him.  He doesn't yet grab for them.

- He has finally started sleeping in his bedroom, instead of the living room.  Yup, I'm stretching that cord a little bit further.  

- He is really happy most of the day, until about 6 or 7pm, when he decides he just wants to scream until bedtime.  (We have moved up bedtime to about 8pm now.  Much better) 

- At about 3 1/2 months, he started sleeping until about 3am and only needed fed once.  But somewhere in the last two weeks, he's decided that he needs more food (probably does), so he's back to waking up twice a night on certain nights.  

- He can giggle!  It is so dang cute, but he's only done it a couple of times for us and we weren't quick enough with the video camera.  Maybe next time.  

- He is a huge flirt with the ladies and loves to smile, tilt his head down and then quickly look back up to make sure whatever new lady is around is still looking at him.

- He definitely loves Mama best; even if Dad has him, he will just stare at me to make sure I'm still there or that I'm coming back quickly.  

-He can follow people with his eyes now and sees clear across rooms.
- He LOVES his car seat!  We put a "bundle me" cover in it and every time he gets in, he just smiles and bundles himself right down in there and will be content the whole time he's in it.   

- He still talks a ton, likes to play peek-a-boo, doesn't love family scripture study, likes to cuddle, and is faithfully working on a dissertation of middle eastern politics in the twentieth century.  

Yup, our baby is still cooler than your baby.
