Jimmer Beiber

Noah was blessed in the LDS church on Sunday.  This is a ceremony where we give infants a name and a blessing, usually done by their dad.  We waited for the blessing ceremony until Steven's parents could be there, as they were on a mission in the Phillipines.  It really was a very special day and Steven did a great job with the blessing.

I was a bit afraid that Noah would end up being named Jimmer Beiber, as we had joked about that all during the pregnancy and throughout the last three months.  I was also afraid that he would end up being blessed with a keen sense of fashion, as that was also something that kept popping into Steven's head.  Luckily, neither one happened.  Instead he was blessed with health, strength and optimism.  And his name is still Noah.  Phew.

It was nice to have family and friends at the blessing, especially both sets of grandparents.

With Steven's parents
Proud Dad and Mom

With the men in the blessing circle, (first cousins once removed) Nels and Karl, (Great Uncle) Thane, Grandpa, Dad and Papa
Look close and you can see the football on his socks... blessed on Super Bowl Sunday.  :)
The white blanket is from Bethlehem, and Steven and I both got one in Jerusalem.  That made the day extra special.
